So much for me typing every day right? Haha, well I have a special treat for my fans for waiting so patiently for my posts. This blog is about two things that have been on my mind and I was unable to type about.
Abbi Dabbi is getting older and one thing is for sure, Grown up technology is never baby friendly— For the parents. Now that Abbi knows how to climb, we have to move or fold up our chairs anywhere near the computer when we get up even for a moment because she likes to rush to the chair, climb in it and start batting away at the keyboard. Now normally this would be cute but she can end up deleting things, messing things up, clicking things she shouldn’t, sending random messages to random people! Its horrible! Haha, adorable of course but horrible nonetheless. So my advice to you, teach your little one EARLY EARLY that touching the computer is a NO NO.
My second is more a question for parents out there that have had previous kids before or someone who’s little one is older then my year and a half old Abbi Dabbi. When would be an appropriate time to get a big kid bed for Abbi? You see my own neice who had a little one only a single day before me, already has her little one in a big kid bed but I personally feel that for Abbi it is to soon, not that her father agrees with me. I don’t know if its the fact that I don’t want her growing up to fast, or that she just isn’t ready.
Abbi still wakes up in the middle of the time one or two times at random hours in the late night or early morning and I don’t want her to learn she can just get out of bed and play at anytime she wants. So I am wondering if I should wait until she does sleep through the night to try her out on one. Also, she rolls excessively and the crib we have that turns into a baby bed doesnt have those side guards for her. I don’t want her rolling out of bed multiple times of the night either. So my question for parents out there. When do you get your toddler a big kid bed? Is it like Potty Training and you do it when both you and the little one are ready? Or is there a specific time to start addressing the matter of a big kid bed? I don’t doubt that there is an age like 3 or 4 that is to old for a little one to be sleeping in a crib— but is two also too old? If so, should I go for it or wait until she actually hits two to try it out? Ideas please!
